Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Hair Products

I was at the store and I was walking around checking things out. Well, I came upon a display for Organix hair products. The first thing that caught my eye about these products is that there were coupons for $2.00 off of one product. The price is a little over $5.00 each, so I thought it was a good deal to get each bottle for around $3.00.  Since, I had never tried this brand before, I decided what the heck.  I needed some new shampoo and conditioner anyway. 

The first products that I picked up were the Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo, Conditioner and the Anti-Breakage Serum.  Let me tell you that these smells so delicious!  So good you might want to eat it!  (I don't recommend anyone eating it!)  These products are safe for color treated hair and for all hair types. 

The description from the website states: 

Coconut Milk Shampoo is an exclusive blend of coconut milk to nourish your hair, while ultra whipped egg white proteins add strength and elasticity, along with weightless coconut oils to add hydration and balance. The luxuriously creamy, foaming, hydrating formula leaves your hair feeling clean, glowing, softly scented and super soft.

Coconut Milk Conditioner is an exclusive blend of coconut milk to nourish your hair, while ultra whipped egg white proteins add strength and elasticity, along with weightless coconut oils to add hydration and balance.  The luxuriously creamy, foaming, hydrating formula leaves your hair feeling clean, glowing, softly scented and super soft.

Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum is unique formula which helps repair damaged hair and cuticles, and mend split ends and frizziness.  This totally indulgent blend of weightless coconut oil and silk and keratin proteins promotes longer hair by helping reduce everyday damage while adding strength and elasticity to weak and brittle hair.

They have other products, too, but those were the only three that were available at that particular store.  The other product names are:  

• Split End Mender
• Leave-In Nourishing Milk
• Weightless Styling Mousse 
• Styling Cream
• Instant Repair Treatment 

I did not get the prices for each one of those products because the store I was at did not have them in stock.  Please check with your local stores for prices and availability.  I'm sure they are reasonable since the products that I purchased were regularly priced a little over $5.00.  

I used this shampoo and conditioner already a couple of times.  The lather is really good, and the smell is to die for!  My hair tends to be on the dry side and a little frizzy.  I do believe that the products have made a little difference in the way my hair feels.  It seems to be softer and more tamed.  I would definitely recommend this shampoo and conditioner.  I'm not quite sure if the Anti-Breakage Serum has made a difference or not, yet.  Time will tell.

BzzAgent Glade Expressions Campaign

I became a member of BzzAgent a couple of weeks ago.  BzzAgent as stated on their website is all about:  Connecting people and their favorite brands since 2001, BzzAgent is the leading social marketing company. What's that mean to you? We put products in the hands of hundreds of thousands of real consumers and help them share their opinions about them with friends and family via reviews, Facebook posts, photos and videos, blog posts and more. We wouldn't call ourselves heroes, but it's okay if you want to.  Basically, you go to www.BzzAgent.com and register. Once you are registered, you can fill out surveys so that they can try to pair you up with campaigns to fit your lifestyle.  Once you are chosen for campaigns, you will then get to try out new products for FREE!  As soon as I signed up, I was invited to participate in the Glade Expressions Collection campaign.  They sent me a booklet of coupons.  Two of the coupons were for me to get one Oil Diffuser Starter Kit for FREE, and one Fragrance Mist for FREE!  The other coupons in the book are for me to give to friend and family so they, too can enjoy the new Glade Expressions products at a discounted price.  One of the coupons is for $4.00 off the Oil Diffuser Starter Kit, and the other one is for $2.00 off of the Fragrance Mist. (*the coupons are no longer available since this campaign ended in late 2012 updated 04/11/13)

These new products come in four new fragrances.  The four fragrances and descriptions from the Glade Expressions Collection website are as follows: 

1. Cotton and Italian Mandarin - Open your home with the bright, breezy blend of cotton and sparkling citrus, honeydew and sandalwood.


2. Fuji Apple and Cardamon Spice - A ripe, spicy blend of sweet pears and crisp apple with a dash of cinnamon and clove that warms and invigorates.

 I tried to look for these at my local grocery store, but they did not have any in stock.  I asked if they would be getting some in some time soon, but they were uncertain.  I decided to try Walmart, and they did indeed have some in stock, but only in two of the four scents.  The two scents they had were:

• Pineapple and Mangosteen
• Cotton and Italian Mandarin

After repeatedly smelling both scents, I could not make up my mind because they both smelled so good!  I really loved the sweetness of the Pineapple and Mangosteen, but the freshness of the Cotton and Italian Mandarin really impressed me.  So, since I could not decide which scent to pick, I ended up buying one of each.  I purchased the Pineapple and Mangosteen in Oil Diffuser Starter Kit, and I purchased the Cotton and Italian Mandarin in the Fragrance Mist.  I figured I would give both scents a try.  My thoughts on that were to see if I liked both of them enough to purchase again.  I really did like both of the scents!  So, I will definitely be buying these Glade Expressions products again! 
 

The Pineapple and Mangosteen Oil Diffuser Starter Kit is really a great product.  You can put it just about anywhere and it blends with your decor.  I really liked that feature since I really do not want items standing out amongst everything else.  I chose to put it on one of my tables in the kitchen area.  The scent is strong enough to fill the room/area, and it lasts for quite a while.  The reason I liked this so much is because you do not have to tend to it like when you burn a candle.  The diffuser releases a combination of long-lasting fragrances, without the need for electricity.  You just set it up and let it do the rest! I will definitely be trying this in a couple of the other scents as soon as I can get back to the store.  That will probably be this week sometime.  The Cotton and Italian Mandarin Fragrance Mist was also a great product to use in my home.  It is such a fresh smelling scent it was good to use in my son's bathroom, the laundry room and my son wanted it to be used in his room.  He told me that he loved the smell.  It must be pretty good for a 13 yr old boy to say that!  Also, with this product, you just buy the refill and put it in the decorative holder.  This holder helps to release a longer-lasting, finer mist of fragrance by just squeezing it. There was just one thing with the mist that I did not care for too much and that is when you spray it, you can feel the wetness of it falling all over you.  It did not stay in the air for very long.  It basically all fell right to the surface or ground around you. 

My final conclusion about the two products that I was able to try for FREE was that I really did like them, and I will be purchasing them again.  I heard from someone that Target currently has a sale on the Fragrance Mist and if I use the $2.00 coupon, I can get it for FREE!  That is pretty awesome if you ask me! (*as stated previously, the coupons are no longer available since the campaign ended late in 2012 updated 4/12/13)

NEW Influenster Website launched!!!

Influenster has just launched it's new website.  Yippee!!  Yahoooo!!  There has been a lot of anticipation and excitement for the launch of a new page.  This new page is supposed to be bigger and better!  From what I can tell, it is going to be awesome!  The main problem right now though is the fact that there are "bugs" in the system that they are trying to correct.  So, yesterday, there were a lot of concerns on the Influenster Facebook page.  A lot of people could not get from page to page without getting an error page, but as of this morning (9/28/12), it looks as though most of us can login, navigate from page to page, and unlock badges!  Unlocking badges and other tasks is how you gain more "influence" to other trendsetters that are part of the program and increase your Influenster score (the score is a  new concept introduced on the new site).  I think that the scoring is a good thing because you can see how you compare to other Influensters.  So many people are always asking what they can do to get a VoxBox, and now, I guess they can complete tasks on the new site and increase their score!  That would be at least one suggestion if you feel that you are being over looked for VoxBoxes.  The new site also has a lot more activities to participate in, and I personally cannot wait until I can jump in and really make my mark.  Ever since I have been part of this program, I have thoroughly enjoyed it!  I've participated in two VoxBoxes so far, and I look forward to participating in many many more!

Julep Nail Color - Sienna

So, I finally tried one of the colors in my introductory Julep box.  I posted a pic of the nail color bottle in a previous post:  http://thehouseofdiva.blogspot.com/2012/09/my-first-julep-box.html.  I did a quick job of polishing my nails last night in my very dim living room.  It wasn't until I put the lights on that I saw just how sparkly and iridescent this color is.  At first glance, it looks silver, but it really is a shimmery champagne/goldish color if you ask me.  I used two coats, and it wasn't too streaky.  I liked the fact that it dried pretty quick.  That is always a plus in my book because I don't have all the time in the world to sit around and wait for it to dry.  I took several pictures because it looks a bit different in different lighting.  I really like the color.  It stands out and is quite the eye catcher!  It will definitely be great for the up coming holiday season!  I think it is a color that I would wear again and again no matter what time of year it is!

Fall Home Fragrance Oils and Concentrated Room Sprays

 

 

This is a picture of part of a big purchase.  For this post, I just want to concentrate on the Fall Home Fragrance Oils (HFOs) ($5 each) and the Concentrated Room Sprays ($5 each).  It was in January 2012 during the SAS that I discovered how amazing the HFOs are!  I bought an oil warmer for around $2 and a couple of HFOs back then.  I gave it a try, and I was amazed by the throw you could smell throughout the whole house.  I was hooked after the first try.  So, now lets fast forward to the present time, Fall 2012.  I purchased Marshmallow Fireside, Cinnamon Sugared Donut, Cranberry Woods, Farmstand Apple, and Leaves HFOs.  All of these scents were totally amazing.  One of them did actually end up giving me a headache though.  The one I am speaking of is Cranberry Woods.  For that reason, I did end up returning it because I tried to burn it twice.  It was amazing at the start, but after burning it for around 30 minutes to an hour, I ended up with a huge headache.  It smelled good, but I really didn't need to worry if I was going to get a headache each time I burned it, so it went back to the store.  Of these HFOs, my favorites are Leaves and Marshmallow Fireside.  I also purchased a few Concentrated Room Sprays with this purchase.  The ones that I got were Marshmallow Fireside, Leaves and Lavender Vanilla!  If you haven't tried the HFOs or Concentrated Room Sprays, then you must give them a try!  They have plenty of scents to choose from to make everyone happy!

Welcome to Paris Party with a Sneak Peak into Fall - August 11, 2012

 

This is an picture from the Welcome to Paris Party back on August 11, 2012.  You are probably wondering why I am posting a picture from August....well, I bought some of my first Fall items all the way back then.  I also received some previews into Fall 2012 at that event as the free gift with purchase.  It was back then that I purchased the new Black Cherry Merlot Foaming hand soaps and the new Orchard Walk Foaming hand soap.  These are two of my favorite Fall hand soaps this year.  Both of them smell divine!  My husband really likes the Orchard Walk!  So, I had to go back and purchase some more of that hand soap to make him happy!  I also purchased some of the Fall scented mini candles at that time.  I purchased mini candles in Mahogany Teakwood, Marshmallow Fireside and Leaves.  They are all three wonderful scents and when the 3-wicks came out, I went and bought them.  I had to purchase at least one Paris themed item to get the free gift.  Well, I purchased several and did separate transaction so I was able to get four of the free gifts.  I purchased the Sweet on Paris lotion and shower gel.  The shower gel was free with $10 purchase.  I also got a cute pink bow Pocketback holder.  I also purchased the cosmetic sized bag that came with all four Paris scents.  I got a body spray in Twilight Woods for free with a $10 purchase for my son. One of my $10 purchases was the 3 Aromatherapy items.  I also received the Pink Chiffon shower gel free with another $10 purchase.  The three American Boardwalk themed 4oz candles (2 Root Beer Float and 1 Suntan) were on sale, so I picked those up, as well.  The free gifts consisted of a cute little bag with a travel sized Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin lotion, a mini Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candle, a pocketbac holder and the Caramel Apple Pocketbac.  This Pocketbac was only available during the event.  They did not bring it back to sell for the Fall 2012. 

 

I really enjoy the events that Bath and Body Works has because you always get something really great as the free gift with purchase.  I loved the mini Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candle.  Remember, I love all things pumpkin!  The Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin lotion was also good, but a little spicy in my opinion.  It isn't one of my favorites, but as I stated in previous posts, a lot of people love it!  I actually think that it is the Fan #1 Favorite of the Fall 2012 scents.  The pocket bac smelled pretty good.  It had a long lasting scent on my hands.  I only used it once because I am going to gift these cute little bags full of treats to either friends or family.  I have several friends and family that have birthdays coming up and this would be a cute additon to their gifts.

Favorite Fall 3-wick Candles from Bath and Body Works

I absolutely love the Fall.  The best Fall scented candles in my opinion are at Bath and Body Works.  My all time favorite Fall candle is Pumpkin Caramel Latte, but this year there are two new candles that I absolutely LOVE!  I had to have them.  I even went back to the store to buy more once I saw how awesome they burned!  I'm a candle lover and buy the 3-wicks whenever they are on sale for 2 for $20. I get 3 for $20 because I always use a survey coupon for $10 off of $30, and I break my purchases up in increments of $30 so I can use a survey coupon for each transaction.  The survey coupons come on the bottom of the receipts.  So, check your receipts out and keep them if they have surveys because that is like a free ten dollar bill! 

 

Let me get to the first candle that I had to have this Fall 2012.  It is the Cider Lane 3-wick candle by Slatkin and Co. that is sold at Bath and Body Works.  This candle smells like carmel & apple cider put together.  It is not too sweet.  To me, it is perfection!  Here is the description of the candle from the Bath and Body Works website:

Below is a picture of one of my Cider Lane 3-wick candles.  You can see that the flames are big & bright, and the wax pool is just perfect!  I burned this candle for 2 weeks in the evening!  I really do enjoy this scent. It has a very nice throw that you could smell throughout the house. I hope it comes back for years to come.   

 

 



The second candle that I just had to have was the Pumpkin Cupcake 3-wick candle by Slatkin and Co.  I love love love pumpkin scents.  So, when I saw that this candle was going to come to all stores and not just test stores, I knew I was going to have to give it a try.  When one of the regular stores that I go to received it, I went in, smelled it, fell in love and bought it!  It is not too spicy of a pumpkin scent and it is not too sweet.  I smells like a pumpkin bread in my opinion.  Here is the description from the Bath and Body Works website:

Below is a picture of my Pumpkin Cupcake candle burning.  It has really great flames and the wax pool is wonderful.  The next time I light it, I think I need to trim the wicks a little though because once I put the flames out, the burnt part of the wicks were long with the litttle black residue almost falling off.  I hate when the burnt part falls into the wax pool, so I want to prevent that.  Anyway, it still burned perfectly and the throw is AMAZING! 
 

 

If you love the Fall and scents such as pumpkin and cider, then you must get these candles.  You will absolutely fall in love with them!  The 3-wick candles are currently on sale 2 for $20, but this sale ends today, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.  They will be regular price of $19.50 on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.  I'm not sure when the next 2 for $20 sale is, but I will let you know when I know!
